Documentation Tools

User documentation for the GNOME project is written in XML, using the DocBook DTD. This allows us to have single-source while being able to create multiple forms of output. The GNOME user documentation project has its own home page at developer.gnome.org.

Developer documentation is written using the gtk-doc tools, which combine human-written and automatically generated content to create API references. The developer documentation project is based here.
